stafford house

san francisco, ca

Stafford House, a UK-based English-language program, needed to relocate to a new location in San Francisco. They also needed to consolidate their local operations into a space about half the size of the previous one, while accommodating an increase in the student body. Their new space has an efficient layout that enables students to learn English faster and offers a good return on Stafford House’s real estate investment. NicholsBooth worked alongside a UK-based design and branding agency, Mystery,  to create this space that features a communal area that encourages students to interact and practice their English, while the floorplan minimizes circulation space, with all the classrooms opening onto the large gathering area. Glass walls, comfortable places to sit, and an industrial-but-playful look contribute to the youthful and community-oriented vibe that says “San Francisco.”
