During the civil unrest in Los Angeles in the summer of 2020, Sunny Optometry and neighboring tenants experienced break-ins and significant damage. To help the client recover and rebuild, Revel designed a modern, crisp optometry space equipped with updated security features to prevent future incidents.

With an unexpected renovation and a limited budget, the design team focused on simple, high-impact updates. Floating shelves were added to showcase a wide selection of eyeglasses, while a secure center island doubles as a functional table where doctors can assist clients with frame selections. A white oak wooden portal separates the exam rooms and private offices from the retail space at the front. The result is a clean, inviting retail space that supports both safety and style.
