This week Splunk opened the doors of its new 180,000 square foot space in downtown San Francisco at 270 Brannan. Revel designed this new office space — an extension of Splunk’s adjacent office at 250 Brannan.
The office features seven floors each with its own unique theme as well as a rooftop deck, a media studio, a customer briefing center, a community bar, a courtyard and libraries. A coffee shop is also expected to open on the first floor. The themed floors are pegged to San Francisco through the decades. On the first floor is the Pan-Pacific Exposition, with other floors designed to reflect the Prohibition era, the Golden Gate, film noir, the Space Race and present-day San Francisco as the top floor. The company’s 136 meeting rooms are also thematically designed, with names such as “Milky Way” and “Sputnik”, which can be found on the Space Race floor.
“We have a unique culture and brand,” said Tom Stilwell, director of public relations at Splunk. “We try to make sure we have fun.”
