skg showroom

Typically side-by-side delivering spaces for shared clients, Revel and SKG flipped the script when SKG stepped into the role of client for their own Austin showroom. Located inside a building originally reimagined by Revel as a high-end single-tenant office, the industrial bones provided a solid foundation that featured exposed structure and confident materials. No need to erase what already worked. Instead, SKG layered in softness. Refined finishes. Softer edges. A more feminine sensibility that feels deliberate, not decorative. The contrast creates tension in the best way, grit meeting grace without losing either.
As the first multi-tenant in the building’s next chapter, SKG establishes the tone for what comes next, proving evolution does not require demolition.
In another shift from our typical approach, the space was designed around furniture SKG already owned and wanted to showcase. Not the other way around. Architecture stepped back so product could lead. That shift fueled a deeply collaborative process and reinforced the strength of the partnership in a new context.
Furniture got top billing.
The architecture knew exactly when to step back.
